Bubba must have confirmed placement with a RESCUE PARTNER or ADOPTER by MONDAY, APRIL 20TH at 10AM. Should Bubba's medical or behavioral status change, his urgency and timeline for placement may also change. Bubba came to ACCT as a stray in March 25th after being picked up by police and transported to the shelter. This isn't Bubba's first time at ACCT. Originally named Xavier, he was adopted from us in 2023 but returned due to conflicts with a male dog in the household. He was adopted again, but when he returned to the shelter in 2026, his owner did not come to reclaim him. Since returning this March, Bubba has been a consistently sweet and low-key presence in the shelter. He initially was sensitive to some handling, but staff and volunteers have since described him as calm, gentle, and handler-oriented. He has a love of treats, sniffing, and snuggling up next to people, including jumping up to sit with volunteers on a bench and trying to crawl into their lap. He's easy to leash and handle, house-trained, and walks nicely. In playgroup, he's shown tolerance and even some play with other dogs. Due to his length of stay, Bubba is urgently seeking placement with a rescue partner or adopter.
