About gio: 2 year old HW- Staffie Mix boy Gio is on the euthanasia list Saturday, 6/27. There will be no extensions per BARC. 🆘 ⏰Gio must have a 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐂𝐔𝐄 𝐇𝐎𝐋𝐃 no 𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝟭𝗣𝗠 or he will lose his life.

💜 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀: This little boy is two years old and is actually at the shelter after being pushed out of a car and abandoned. He is the sweetest little boy, and he did not deserve that at all. Today, when looking at the euthanasia list, I noticed that he was Rescue only. This I don't understand because he has been in Adoption all this time since he got to the shelter. Now, once he hits the euthanasia list, he is Rescue only. When I had Gio out in the run, I never saw any signs of him not being able to use his leg. He was not limping. He wasn't crying out in pain. There was no signs that he even was injured at all. I did see the x-rays and I guess it's a sprain which I just saw him a few days ago and I'm guessing that it has resolved so I'm not too sure why he's Rescue only still. He's a little dog and very cute. Very confident. He did well with his temperament test with another dog. He seemed to want to play more than anything. He took treats gently. He's just a good dog and I think that anybody would be happy to have him.
🔷Intake: 1 brown and white lap mix dog abandonded on street, stated to have seen a black nissan stop and push dog out of thecar. Caller requests contact please. Puppy is very friendly and is very willing to help; will be at home.
📝 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀: Time/Space/LOS 16 + Days greeted with a wagging tail and relaxed body. Was treat motivated. walked on a loose leash calm and quiet, keeps kennel clean overnight in row and will walk with wiggly body on leash. customer took him out to interact and informed how kind and sweet he is wanting affection and hugs. Was moved to south this morning. Gio has been calm and quiet in kennel. dog was in front of the kenne and when i leashed him he walked on a semi tight leash and when i placed him in the run he just roamed around and back to his kennel he walekd lose leash. During morning walks, caught Gio biting at the fence and pulling on it while whining. Made into Adopt Eval. Gio greeted me at the kennel gate while sitting with a wiggling body, ears up, closed lip smile, and wagging tail. He did a good job of keeping his kennel clean overnight. He was walked on a loose leash and eneregtic towards anyone that comes up to him to and from the outside runs. Throughout the day, he has been very friendly and welcoming towards the general public and the volunteers who walk him. 🚑𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀: Medical ( lameness of RH limb, sprain of a ligament, Trauma to the area, ligament tear), Tape worms were noticed yester in the stool. 06/24/26 11:31 ACTs note that pup has tapeworms. 06/17/26 rads of pelvis and hocks 06/10/26 rads of pelvis and hocks: Pt hips both appear to be wnl. Pt Left hock vs Rt Hock seems to show there is some soft tissue inflammation in the Rt hock. No bony change apparent at this time. A: ddx: Sprain of a ligament, Trauma to the area, ligament tear. P: Rest and anti-inflammatories. 6/16/26 s/o: toe touching lameness of RH limb, soft tissue sweling of right hock, intake picture looks like LH limb. a: lameness of RH limb Page 1 of 2 p: carprofen 75mg SID x 7 days radiograph pelvis and hocks Rescue Only: 🏷 This pet can only be tagged by a RESCUE group but please remember all rescues need 𝗙𝗢𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗦 in order to tag this pet and save their life.
