6/24/2026: Responding to a dog-tied complaint. Brownie was noted to be very malnourished upon intake.

📝 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:

6/27/2026: Brownie greeted the handler at the front of the kennel with a neutral body and walked on a loose leash to and from the runs.

7/3/2026: Brownie presented with a relaxed body, low wagging tail, and soft mouth. He walked on a loose leash heading in and out of the south runs.

7/6/2026: Brownie greeted the handler at the kennel gate with soft eyes, forward body, fast wagging tail, and a closed-lip smile. He kept his kennel clean overnight. He walked on a semi-loose leash, pulling forward at times, but paid little attention to other dogs as he passed. Brownie was friendly and welcoming, accepted treats, and licked the handler's face while his bedding was being changed.

7/9/2026: Brownie greeted the handler with a soft face while lying on his bed, wagging his tail with relaxed body language. He was easily leashed, walked nicely on leash, and remained calm throughout the day.

7/12/2026: Brownie stood at the front of the kennel with a neutral body, ears up, and a fast wagging tail. He kept his kennel clean overnight, paid little attention to other dogs while walking past them, and was very friendly and energetic with the volunteer. He loved being outside.

🚑 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:

6/24/2026: Intake exam. Weighs 74.0 lbs. Healing wounds noted on the ear bases/inner pinnae. Heartworm positive. Prescribed Capstar and Rimadyl (Carprofen). Vaccinated (DA2PP-V, Bordetella, Rabies), dewormed, and flea prevention administered.

7/9/2026: Recheck for wounds. Ear wounds healing. No additional treatment needed per veterinarian.
