💙 Volunteer Notes:
📝 Shelter Notes:
7/22/26: Junior becomes vocal whenever his kennel cover is removed. He also tends to jump on the kennel door and pants with a worried expression, showing the shelter is taking a toll on him.
7/21/26: Very vocal during morning cleaning with panting, dilated eyes, and signs of anxiety. Despite his stress, he was easy to leash and walked on a semi-loose leash with a gently swaying tail.
7/20/26: Moved into the adoption area. After returning from the runs, he spent the morning high-pitched whining and barking in his kennel.
7/19/26: Stood at the front of his kennel with an open mouth, wagging tail held low, and vocalized while waiting to go out.
7/18/26: Appeared stressed in his kennel, barking throughout the morning with heavy panting, whale eyes, and ears pinned back.
💙 Junior is another dog whose true personality is being hidden by the overwhelming shelter environment. His kennel behavior reflects fear and anxiety'not aggression. Even while visibly stressed, he is consistently easy to leash and walks nicely with handlers. Outside of the kennel, he settles and shows a softer side. Junior desperately needs a calm home where he can finally decompress and feel safe again.
🩺 Medical Notes:
- Heartworm negative.
- No medical concerns noted.
- Weighs 47.0 lbs.
