Moose arrived at BARC as a stray in overall fair condition with calluses on his hind legs. His intake heartworm test came back low positive, meaning he will need follow-up evaluation and treatment for heartworm disease.
He has received his DA2PP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, deworming, and flea/heartworm prevention.
🐾 Behavior Notes:
Moose entered the shelter with a wagging tail, walked calmly on a loose leash into the intake area, and was friendly during initial handling. He became fearful during medical procedures and will benefit from patient, experienced handling in a rescue environment.
