Hazel is heartworm positive, a treatable condition. She recently developed an upper respiratory infection (CIRD) with thick green nasal discharge and sneezing and is currently being treated with Doxycycline for 10 days. A mild area of hair blunting on her chin was noted earlier but required no treatment.

🐾Behavior Notes:
Hazel is a gentle, sweet girl who has blossomed during her stay. Initially timid around barking dogs, she quickly gained confidence with kind encouragement and baby talk. She walks nicely on a loose leash, seeks out people by stepping right into the leash loop, greets handlers with enthusiastic tail wags, and calmly returns to resting on her bed after walks. Hazel has consistently shown a quiet, affectionate temperament and no concerning reactions to other dogs.
