💜 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:
Lady is a great mom and protective of her 1 week old nuggets! I don't blame her because these babies are super sweet. I talked to staff a bit and they said occasionally she will growl when she's with her puppies but outside in the runs she is completely fine. She gave me a couple growls to let me know not to mess with her babies and leashed up before we headed outside. Lady walks great on a leash and doesn't seem aggressive at all outside. She's a little bit timid. I imagine her hormones are crazy with new puppies and all of the loud sounds in the evaluation kennels. She needs some quiet space and time to decompress with her puppies. 🔷Intake:
- Stray Alaskan Husky mix.
- Arrived at BARC on 7/23/26 with a litter of nursing puppies.
- Currently lactating and caring for her puppies.

7/24/26:
- Growled and lunged at staff when they attempted to remove her from the kennel.

- Heartworm Negative.
- Body weight: 42.0 lbs.
- Currently lactating.
- Received routine intake vaccines and deworming.
