Fiona may be the mom or an older sister to Kane and Steven (both still at Barc and not on the euthanasia list at this time). They were found as stray dogs getting some shade under a Jeep.

🩺 Medical Notes:
Fiona is a petite, 37.6-pound sweetheart who has had a difficult stay at the shelter. After an exploratory surgery confirmed she was already spayed, she suffered a spay incision complication that required emergency surgical repair, debridement, staples, fluids, antibiotics (Convenia and Clavamox), and pain medication. She will need her staples and sutures removed after healing. She is also being treated for URI (CIRD) with Doxycycline after developing a cough. Fiona is heartworm negative.

Behavior Notes:
Outside of her kennel Fiona walks on a loose to semi-loose leash, is easy to leash, has a soft expression, and enjoys treats. Inside the kennel, however, the stress causes her to bark, howl, and cry. Her behavior is consistent with a dog struggling emotionally in the noisy shelter.
