Miley is currently being treated for an upper respiratory infection (CIRD). On 8/1, she developed green nasal discharge and was started on 10 days of doxycycline (150 mg once daily). She is heartworm negative. When she first arrived at BARC, she had a gunshot wound to her chest, but she has continued to recover while waiting for a home.

Behavior Notes:
Miley is a sweet young girl who has blossomed with kindness and patience. Although she was initially timid and frightened in the shelter, she responds beautifully to gentle voices and baby talk. She quickly becomes wiggly, greets people with a wagging tail, and is easy to leash. She walks wonderfully on a loose leash, enjoys exploring outside, and often waits happily on her bed for treats. She greets staff with an open-mouth smile, loose body language, and is excited to go for walks.
