Brianna is suffering from a severe left femur fracture. X-rays show a spiral fracture beginning in the middle of the femur and extending nearly the entire length of the bone to the hip joint. She is unable to bear weight on the injured leg and has swelling of her left thigh. She is receiving Carprofen for pain, but BARC has determined she needs rescue placement for orthopedic surgery. Brianna is heartworm negative, vaccinated, dewormed, and current on flea prevention.

Despite being in significant pain, Brianna has been described as sweet and stood calmly for her vaccinations and blood draw. She has remained gentle and cooperative with staff, showing a kind and trusting nature even while injured.
