Chloe tested HIGH POSITIVE for heartworms. She will need appropriate veterinary follow-up and heartworm treatment.
She received DA2PP, Bordetella and rabies vaccinations, deworming, pyrantel and Advantage Multi at intake.

🐾BEHAVIOR NOTES:
Chloe is showing fear and stress in the shelter. She has a crouched or tense body, tucked tail, ears down, dilated pupils and avoids physical contact.
She has difficulty transitioning between the kennel and outdoor runs and may freeze, back away or panic when tension is placed on the leash.
But there are small glimpses of Chloe wanting to trust. While a staff member quietly cleaned her kennel, Chloe slowly approached on her own and sniffed their hand before backing away and sitting nearby.
