Charlie is a sweet and gentle boy who greets people with a wagging tail and calm demeanor. While he may be a bit unsure when first meeting new friends, he warms up nicely with patient and gentle interactions. From our volunteer observations, Charlie seems to be laid back and social with other dogs during playgroup time. Contact us about Charlie today!

Charlie is at risk for euthanasia due to the current shelter capacity. Currently the shelter is above capacity to adequately house and care for animals. Charlie has been in shelter for over 60 days and would benefit from individualized attention with a foster, adopter or rescue partner. If they saw any other dogs, how did they react? Very calm and friendly! Even when another dog showed signs of aggression towards Charlie, he did not react.
If they met any children, how did they react? No reaction - was very calm
How did I walk on the leash? (Examples: excited/pulling/timid/awesome walker)Excited, did not pull at all. He remained close to me at all times even when on the leash
How were my manners and do I know any tricks? Went to the bathroom immediately (when outside)

The best part of my Daycation was when.......Charlie sat under the shade and got lots of pets
Any additional notes you would like to include about the dog? Charlie is very calm but happy on walks. Didn't bark at all (even at squirrels) and was just so excited to be there

07/21/26: Altercation not witnessed, but per medical A1113680 Bella now has a laceration on ear. A1291133 Charlie may have inflicted the damage. We are separating them.
08/23/26: A bit unsure and stiff in the beginning but warms up quickly to socialize, and play with the others. PG1 - SOCIAL/DG - DAINTY & GENTLE
