Evaluation Notes: 09/11/2026 - Dog is fearful upon approach with a tense body, tucked tail, wide eyes, and pinned ears. As I
enter the kennel, she retreats with the same body language. She is able to be leashed and rushes out of the
kennel with a tense body and pinned ears. She flails on leash and is able to be prompted outside with the
assistance of a secondary handler. While walking outside, she continues to run to the end of the leash with a
tucked tail and retreats from handlers intermittently. She is interested in slowly walking around the play yard
independently while sniffing the grass. As handlers enter the yard, she retreats with a tense body, wide eyes,
and tucked tail. When her leash is secured, she cowers into a corner of the yard and avoids eye contact with a
tucked tail. She turns her head around quickly as I attempt to lift her up. She is given space. After some time,
she is prompted to walk out of the yard where she runs to the end of the leash with a tucked tail and continues
to communicate for space as I touch her back. She is prompted into a transport kennel with the assistance of a
secondary handler. She is transported back to her kennel where she walks out of the transport kennel on her
own and her leash is easily removed.
