🩺 MEDICAL NOTES:
Mikey has been battling an upper respiratory infection since October 10, with coughing and phlegm. Unfortunately, his symptoms have not improved despite treatment. On October 20, his doxycycline was extended for another 10 days.
He's also struggling with his appetite and picking medication out of his food. Staff have been mixing chicken and canned food into his meals to encourage him to eat.
A possible left ear infection was also noted, with dark discharge.

BEHAVIOR NOTES:
Despite his time in the shelter, Mikey has shown a sweet, manageable side!
Staff describe him with a relaxed body, soft open mouth, and gentle, slow tail wag. He has walked nicely on a loose leash and enters and exits his kennel without difficulty.
Mikey can become vocal and excited, particularly in the outdoor runs, but he has also been observed resting calmly in his kennel.
This boy has been waiting for weeks, and the shelter environment is taking its toll.
