Medical Notes:
Eddie has old scars around his neck and minor healing wounds, including an open wound on his right rear leg. He was prescribed Rimadyl (carprofen) 100 mg once daily for 7 days for pain and inflammation.
Heartworm test: LOW POSITIVE. Eddie will need follow-up veterinary care and heartworm treatment.
⸻
Behavior Notes:
Eddie has presented as quiet, timid, and tense in his kennel. Staff have tried baby talk, gentle petting, and treats, but he has remained reluctant to move and has needed assistance being transferred.
His behavior may reflect fear and stress in the shelter environment. He needs patience, gentle handling, and time to feel safe enough to come out of his shell.
