🩺 Medical Notes:

Blue was assessed as medically normal and tested heartworm NEGATIVE! She has received routine vaccinations, deworming, and parasite prevention.

Behavior Notes:

Blue is overwhelmed by the shelter environment. Initially, she was tense, frightened, and growled when approached.

Her more recent evaluations reveal another side of her! Blue greeted staff with a loose, relaxed body, soft eyes, and a gently wagging tail. She allowed herself to be leashed easily and walked outside, although she pulls strongly on leash.

Blue has also been observed growling and lunging when other dogs pass by, and crying periodically during cleaning. Staff covered her kennel to reduce stimulation.

Behind Blue's defensive reactions is a frightened young dog who has shown she can relax and connect with people.
