About lita: HI there. My name is Lita. I am a 2 year old Shepherd/Lab mix who finds herself without a home or family. I had one until just the other day, as a matter of fact. But my former family turned me in here to the shelter and now I'm feeling kind of unloved and unwanted. Oh wait...kind of unloved is kind of an understatement. I am feeling very unloved and very unwanted. BUT you have the power to change and all that, and make me a happy girl again. Please consider adding me to your family. I will be forever grateful. I recently graduated from the local prison's training program and now am back at the shelter. I was adopted for less than a day and then came back because I growled at the toddler in the house. I liked the 5 year old but not the rugrat, so a home without little kids would be best. I can also be food aggressive. Contact the shelter about me. Daily hours are 10-3. M/W hours are 10-6. The shelter is open 7 days a week. Out of state adoptions are welcomed. Ask for me, Lita. Woof.*

Dogs at Belmont County Animal Shelter are PTS due to behavioral issues and illness (and would not be posted here), in addition to lack of space. In many cases, this permits us to extend the euth date of the dogs listed on this site. Even with extensions, there are no guarantees and these dogs are still very much in danger. This dog is currently at the local prison being trained, which enables us to keep extending her euth date.
