Hi there. My name is Lucy. I am a 6 year old Lab mix who needs a family. I was found as a stray and brought to the shelter because I wouldn't tell the dog warden where I lived. It's not that I didn't want to go home, but I don't think they wanted me there, I am friendly and love attention. So come see me and consider making me a member of the family. You won't be sorry. I would be the best friend you ever had. The shelter is open 7 days a week. Daily hours are 10-3, M/W hours are 10-6. Out of state adoptions are welcomed. Dogs at Belmont County Animal Shelter are PTS due to behavioral issues and illness (and would not be posted here), in addition to lack of space. In many cases, this permits us to extend the euth date of the dogs listed on this site. Even with extensions, there are no guarantees and these dogs are still very much in danger.
