About samantha: Samantha came to the shelter with a litter of puppies. They had the good life in a foster home, and now the puppies have homes of their own. Samantha is waiting for hers. Her mama duties are over, and she is spayed, so she will never have to worry about that again. Samantha is about two years old and is quite a lively girl. Now that her work is done, she wants to play. She is an active girl who will benefit from training.
Samantha tested positive for heartworms. She can be treated at the shelter if she is adopted. The adoption fee will the approximately $215 to help cover cost of heartworm treatments. Ours is a high intake municipal shelter. When dogs have to be euthanized to make space in Adoption, it is the heartworm positive dogs who are generally put down first.
Adoption fee includes at least on set of vaccinations, required spay surgery, and microchip with registration. Dogs are tested for heartworms.
