Angela came to the shelter on 6 March 09 along with her three puppies. All had been abandoned.
In the meantime her puppies have been adopted into good homes and Angela has spent the past four months in foster care.
Angela is a dog with a big heart full of love to give. She wants to romp and play with her speical person. A little girl named her 'Red Dog' and she responds well to that name.
We believe that Red Dog was used as a bait dog in dog fighting as she sometimes has issues with other dogs. If she thinks another dog is out to do her harm, she will fight back but she does not initiate trouble. She has scars on her ears from former fights. Her foster mom has worked with her on this problem over the past four months and she has come a long way towards always being nice. However, this history means that Red Dog would be best suited to a home without other pets where she can have your undivided attention.
Red Dog would make a wonderful companion for someone who wants a loyal, attentive dog and who appreciates doggie kisses.
