About daisy: Hi there. My name is Daisy. I am about 1 1/2 years old and I weigh about 60 lbs. I was found IN THE TRUNK OF A CAR that had been abandoned in the middle of the street a few months back. When the car was being searched by the police, they popped the trunk, and out popped little ol' me! The pound was called to come pick me up. Who knows the abuse and neglect I suffered before being found in the trunk of the car that night. I was pretty thin. I am very scarred up on my face, legs and some places on my body. I was only about 40 lbs when I was picked up by the pound, but I now weigh about 60 lbs and I am looking Fabulous if I say so myself! Despite the scars from my past, I am hoping to have a great future. A great future where all of the people and dogs are nice to me. A great future where I am not left wondering when I am going to get to eat my next meal. A great future where I can live inside in a warm bed instead of a cold, drafty dog house and a log chain tied to my collar. A great future where I don't have to make any more puppies. A great future where I have a family that LOVES me like I will love them. When I first came in to the shelter, I had absolutely no idea what playing was. I didn't know how to play with people, toys or other dogs. After just a month or two, I started learning all about the finer things in life like joy, playing with toys, other animals and even humans, happiness and companionship. I have to say, I have won the hearts of many of the volunteers right along with the shelter staff. They are all rooting for me to get the loving home I deserve to have. I am good with other dogs, however, I am rough and I may not do well in a home with small dogs. I can also be a little bit annoying to some dogs. I was obviously used for breeding among the other things so I try to get a bit groovy and sometimes the other dogs just don't appreciate that very much. I have been given my Parvo/ Distemper vaccine and I have been dewormed with panacur dewormer. PLEASE CONSIDER THIS DOG, AS WELL AS ALL THE OTHER DOGS AT OUR SHELTER AS URGENT?. OUR KENNEL SPACE HERE AT THE POUND IS VERY LIMITED. HERE AT THE COLUMBIANA COUNTY DOG POUND, WE TRY VERY HARD TO PLACE ALL OF OUR ADOPTABLE DOGS IN TO LOVING HOMES OR SEND THEM TO GREAT, APPROVED RESCUE GROUPS, HOWEVER, WE CAN ONLY KEEP OUR DOGS HERE AT THE POUND AS LONG AS SPACE ALLOWS. MY ADOPTION FEE IS $110 CASH, WHICH COVERS MY SPAY SURGERY (WHICH MUST BE DONE PRIOR TO ME LEAVING THE SHELTER), MY PARVO/DISTEMPER VACCINE, RABIES VACCINE, DEWORMING AND MY CURRENT OHIO DOG LICENSE WHICH WILL BE HONORED THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OHIO. THE POUND IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 8 AM- 4 PM AND SATURDAY FROM 9 AM- 12 PM. WE ARE CLOSED SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS.
