Medical Summary; scan neg. ~11 yrs, neutered. qarh. Allows all handling. BCS 5/9. Moderate dental tartar/gingivitis, blind, corneal scarring, mild conjunctivitis, mature cataracts ou, no ocular or nasal discharge, ears wnl. Normal thoracic auscultation; normal abdominal palpation. Alopecia/mild dermtitis at caudal dorsum. Ambulatory x 4. HWT neg BG 404. A: owner reported diabetes and surrendered dog with vetsulin and tacrolimus ophthalmic drops - geriatric underlying, diabetes, blind. P: rec continuing with vetsulin as prescribed by vet - 7 units bid, and tacrolimus ou bid rec placement, if no placement available rec ehr. Poor long term prognosis.
