Bambee is available for placement only to RESCUE and must have confirmed placement by Saturday, August 7, 2021, 10am. Bambee is an adult male, medium sized mixed breed dog surrendered by his owner. Bambee had previously received surrender prevention support to keep him in the home, however as a result of ongoing behavioral challenges, the owner no longer felt equipped to safely manage him. Both reported by the owner and observed at the shelter, Bambee presents with reactive behavior including lunging and attempting to bite, though he has not bitten anyone at this time. Bambee's owner also reports similar behavior toward other animals. To manage him, Bambee's owners ensured he was muzzled when in public, however they expressed significant fears about the potential for Bambee to bite someone in the future. If placed Bambee should have the opportunity work on a behavior modification plan with a certified trainer or behaviorist and placed in an environment that can provide consistency and structure, in keeping with the plan. Confirmed placement is considered confirmation of an actual rescue pull.
