This pup is sweet and friendly, but can be nervous in the kennel. She greeted me at the gate and happily took some treats from me gently. She was startled when I touched her back and lightly snapped at me to stop. After a few minutes and some treats, she let me pet her head and down her back with ease. I used a leashpole to get her outside, but once outside she was very easy to switch to a normal leash. She is VERY food motivated and kept following me for treats. As we went for her workup, she was immediately friendly with male and female staff and let them pet her. She did wonderful for her workup and blood draw with minimal handling and lots of meatballs. She was easy to put back into the kennel. Vet Exam (02/24/2022): patient is qar, sweet but nervous, reported to have bit catchpole at intake and mouth bled, placing med alert for oral exam to check for injury at sedation for sterilization.
