About amigo: Amigo ACCT-A-125052 is currently considered urgent and at risk of euthanasia due to behavioral concerns and deterioration. Amigo must have confirmed placement with an ADOPTER or RESCUE PARTNER by Thursday, October 27th by 10:00 am. Should Sirius Amigo's medical or behavioral status change, his urgency and timeline for placement may also change.
Meet Amigo! This handsome hunk was found as a stray on October 14th. Amigo has been friendly since arriving at ACCT, but can be a lot to handle at times with his bouncy personality and high energy! While out with staff it has been noted that Amigo was friendly and affectionate- leaning in for pets with a wiggly body and that he showed knowledge of Sit, Shake, and Down. Amigo can become a bit aroused with play becoming mouthy, jumpy, or snatchy with items but has never escalated past that and can be redirected with treats. Amigo is beginning to show signs of deterioration in our care though lately and urgently needs to leave so he would not continue to decline. ACA's have noted that AMigo has been giving them a hard time the past week when trying to remove him from the kennel due to reactive before and is getting more jumpy and hard to handle on the leash. When people pass by his kennel Amigo has also become more barrier reactive,as his length of stay has increased. When approaching, sometimes Amigo will have a flagging tail, dilated pupils, and will hard bark at through the bars and snap. Amigo urgently needs to be placed with a rescue or experienced adopter who can provide him with adequate exercise and training so that he can blossom into the best boy he can be.

Confirmed placement is considered confirmation of an actual rescue pull. Possible placement, interested parties, and other "TBD" statuses are not considered confirmed and do not indicate an animal is no longer urgent.
