𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀: Birdie is skittish female pittie mix. She was quiet in her kennel and I promised her I'd return to take her outside. She was easy to leash and walked out cautiously but steadily. Outside, she did her business in the run and checked out every corner in the yard. A volunteer brought out Zoe, a little squatty, in the next run and Birdie immediately gravitated to her. We did a temp test with them and they were body slamming like old friends as they walked. Birdie remained skittish with me but accepted pets with no issue. She went back into her kennel without a hitch and allowed me to remove the leash. She's a tall, muscular looking girl who will come around outside of the shelter.

I tried to leash her she snap at the leash, then I tried to clean around her she lunged foward snapping at the poop scoop. 4/24 Tense at back of kennel, whale eyes, barked and yelped when leashing but then walked out with tail tucked and scurrying walk. 4/25 This dog retreats to the back of the kennel when I approach. when I toss her treats she readily receives them. as I opened the kennel door her ears go down and she takes up a C shape body. I wait at the entrance with the leash handing over it to allow her to walk into it herself. She hesitantly walks into the leash while coming out of the kennel then walks on a loose leash out to the potty yard. After doing her business I go in to get her from the yard and she tries her best to avoid getting the leash on her. I was able to get it on her by going slow and giving her a little time to settle down. Walked back into the kennel without conflict.
