About shooshoo: Adopt/Rescue - NO DAS MED - Needs placement by 3/15 at 2:00 p.m. A1241625 Shooshoo 4 years old Intact female 50 lbs Heartworm positive Owner surrender Bio: Shooshoo is a shy and anxious dog who has unfortunately come down with an upper respiratory infection. She is not responding to treatment and needs further treatment at a veterinary hospital. Medical Notes: 3/13/25: Alert. Bilateral purulent nasal discharge. Coughed up kibble in kennel this morning. Is eating. Heart and lungs normal. CIRD not responding to Doxy RX: Enrofloxacin 136mg 1.5T SID 10 days Temp 100.3 03/12/25 14:32 Pt appears to be coughing. foamy vomit seen in kennel. no nasal discharge seen. pt is on heart worm doxy. will have DVM assess. 02/27/25: Pet has been prescribed Doxycycline for 14 days as part of our new heartworm therapy. Pet is to go home with remaining Doxycycline prescribed. RX: Doxycycline 100mg Tabs ? 10mg/kg(Round down) BID x 14 days. Shelter Observations 2/27: gets anxious when opened kennel. started low shaking/ making herself small into corner wall. then began pacing kennel. Volunteer Observations 3/2: Avoidant/Fearful ["Treat Motivated","Good Manners"] ["Avoiding Eye Contant","Stiff Posture"] ["Disinterested in Pets/Cuddles","Disinterested in Attention"] Shooshoo stayed in the corner when I tried to take her out to the yard so instead I sat with her in her kennel for a few minutes and gave her a fresh blanket. She takes treats very gently and allowed some pets but didn't seek them out or seem interested in them. She eventually settled down on her blanket. Very gentle girl but anxious and needs a lot of time and patience.
