𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐀 is now on the euthanasia list for "Heartworms; Behavior (Lunging, growling, and pulling at the fence towards another dog. Fence fighting with dog next to her. Multiple failed attempts to distract her. Moved out of adoptions area.)." 📝 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐬: 4/24/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Could hear multiple dogs vocalizing after opening when non-staff were walking through the row. When walking through the row Cora held stiff wagging flag tail, alert ears, pressed against front of kennel and hard stare watching me pass by. The second time caught her forward barking at volunteers with same body language, but she stopped when she noticed me approaching. 4/25/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Cora greets me at the kennel door by getting up from her cot. She lets me leash her and walked Simi loose to and from the potty yard. Inside her kennel she can be seen alarm barking. I have noticed whenever i puppy talk her she will forward bark at me however when i regular talk to her she is fine. 4/26/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Cora is confirmed to be spade through the green tattoo on the right side of her belly also verified by vet tech Elizabeth. once taken to surgery room 4/26/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Cora greets me at the kennel door by getting up from her cot. She lets me leash her and walks loosely to and from the potty yard. returning to her kennel she will freeze and i have to push her in gently. Inside her kennel she has been quiet so far today. 4/27/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Cora greets at kennel door by rasing from her cot. She accepts leash and walks loosely to and from the potty yard.When returning to kennel freezes and i have to push her in gently. Inside her kennel she has been quiet so far today. 4/28/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Greets me at kennel door with a relaxed body. Onceleashed she walks very well on a loose leash outside to the runs. Once she is out there hse was very interested with her neighbor dog. The two were sniffing each other and play bowing. Did very well with me . Took treats gently and posed for photos. Knows how to sit. Walked back to kennel loosely. After am walk she has been relaxed and quiet. 4/29/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Approaching kennel, Cora comes out with a slightly forward leash while holding a high tail and semi-erect ears on the way to her run. Upon going back in kennel, dog does momentarily pullback before going into kennel but then follows me in. 5/1/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Cora greets me at the kennel door with a slowly wagging tail. She lets me leash her and walks mostly loosely to and from the potty yards. Inside her kennel she has been quietly relaxing either on her cot or by the kennel door. 5/2/2025: BEHAVIOR NOTE: Dog was placed in the outside run she was lunging, growling, pulling the fence.
