In the dadopt kennel she kept going inside or outside depending on which side I was on. I almost got her to take treats out of my hand but no such luck. She?s a beautiful pup with a shiny copper coat and pointy ears. I?d like to think she?d become less skittish in a stable environment with less noise. She just needs time to decompress and trust again. 📝 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀: Michi greets me at the kennel door by retreating to the back corner of her kennel. She hid her face from me and raced through the doggie door when opened. She trembles and gives whale eyes when approached. Approaching kennel, Michi is at the back corner of the kennel with a cowering body and whaled eyes as I babytalk to her. As I get closer she flees into the other corner to cover her face as I enter the kennel. I slowly open her doggy door in which she rushes into. Maintained her kennel covered to continue to provide with privacy. puppy runs to opposite side of doggy gate when she sees anyone covere her kennel and place shy sign to give privacy. When I entered into kennel at end of day she pushed herself in corner hiding face in corner, used baby talk and tried to pet slowly and puppy tensed up more and began to shiver. Exited kennel and recovered to not cause stress. Michi greets me at the kennel door by retreating to the corner of the kennel as i locked her doggie door this morning. She trembles and looks at me with whale eyes. After cleaning she will retreat to the other side of the kennel whenever she seen someone. Approaching kennel, Michi holds a cowering body with a wrinkled face, then flees immediately through the doggy door and ignores treats being offered. However, once I am out of sight she takes the treats readily. Puppy flees to the opposite side of kennel through the doggy door every time I get near her kennel. I gave her extra enrichment to play with which keeps her busy (rawhide). Will partially cover her kennel door. behavior has stayed the same, Michi runs to opposite side of doggy door when I approached. I tried offering treats and baby talking and she stayed on opposite side.
