I met this momma shortly after she gave birth She is a good protective momma but will leave her babies for treats! I checked on her Friday and Sunday and she came right up to say hello so i think once she is comfortable with a constant foster outside the shelter she will be just fine. She is a small girl, perfect size!
🔸Plea: We have an urgent and heartwarming situation: a sweet gray female Staffordshire mix just gave birth to three adorable puppies and needs a safe, loving place to raise her new family. The wonderful news is that she is heartworm negative, which is a huge relief!
This brave mama needs immediate help. A shelter environment is incredibly stressful for a new mother and her vulnerable pups. They desperately need a quiet, stable home where she can nurse and care for her babies without fear.

7/10 As I was walking by with another dog I noticed this dog and neighboring dog were growling and vocalizing. I redirected
both dogs and they both stopped.
7/11 Approaching kennel, dog was in the back with worried look. From outside the kennel I squatted down and began to baby
talk her. She began to wag her tail, I tossed treats and she came forward to sniff them. I continued to baby talk and she
came closer to me with low head and wagging tail. I was able to pet her, she responded well and sat in front of me. I then
slipped the leash and she walked out loosely. I placed her in the runs and she quickly went potty. She walked loosely back
inside with a wiggly body.
07/20/25 15:40 When walking a very timid pup past her kennel, Cassie charged forward and was pressing her muzzle
through the gap in the kennel door, hard snapping.
