💜 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:
Met on 7/28/2025: Peter is about as laid back as they come; his demeanor may be due to the stress of the shelter, but I have a feeling he's a super chill dude. When I approached his kennel, I opened the door and leashed him easily. I sat with him for a few minutes before we left the kennel.

As we walked down the row, passing all of the other dogs, he didn't pay attention to anyone. He walked beautifully on the leash and when we made it outside, he pottied right away. In the kennel next to him was sweet girl Abigail (A2024124), and they were both pretty indifferent.

While in the run, he opened up to me and let me check his mouth and ears without any reaction (see video in comments). We temp tested him with Abigail (A2024124) and O'Shae (A2025875), all of whom passed with flying colors. VIDEOS PENDING.

Peter deserves a chance, and I think he'd do well in a home with another dog to boost his confidence. 100% GOOD BOY!

📝 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:
No previous notes as to why dog was marked Adopt Eval and Leash Walk Only. Easy to leash and walks out loosely. Once I did place in the chicken coop and tried to retrieve back dog was avoiding the leash as I attempted to leash became a bit timid but I slowly approached and was able to leash up slowly. Walked back to kennel on a loose leash .
Retreated to bed, tried calling forward and showing leash but he kept retreating and ducking head. Was able to sling leash on and he walked out on loose leash and was easy to muzzle/ vaccinate. Walked in to kennel with neutral body and was easy to un-leash
