💜 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:
Mr. Chico is such a beautiful, handsome boy and he looks like he was well taken care of previously! He gives a lot of shepherd/husky vibes - he was easy to leash, easy to handle, and super sweet and affectionate in the runs. He is quite a chatty boy and lets you know exactly how he's feeling with little grumbles and whines here and there. He was growling at the dogs next to him at the fenceline so we did two tempt tests for him with a male and a female - he was a little bit growly so we did very slow intros and didn't push him. It's hard to fully assess in the shelter but I do feel like he got more comfortable over time, and he seemed really excited to go up to the dog but then would get overwhelmed and growl. If he does live with another dog we definitely recommend slow intros and giving him some time to decompress before introducing. This breed can really struggle with the stress of the shelter environment, so I'm hoping someone takes the chance on him outside of the shelter! Chico is looking for his forever family! I just know he's the sweetest, cuddliest boy❤️

8/7 Forward barking and jumping up against kennel doors when other dogs were walking past his kennel.

8/10 Fence fighting with Ritchie in the outside run. I came back to leash Chico when hearing he was low growling towards
Ritchie then would be forward along with forward barking and hackles raised. Once Chico was back in kennel noticed he
would low growl towards every dog was walked past his kennel.
