📝 Shelter Notes:

8/6/25 ? Medical Procedure: Tightly curled lips while growling at me from inside the kennel. Several blue leashes present on the floor. I opened the door and she began to walk towards me, curiously looking down and sniffing underneath the door. I called her name while holding a treat through the crack of the door. I looped it around her head and she walked out of the kennel. I walked her outside to potty, and she urinated in the grass.
When we returned to back intake, she became tense and started to lick her lips frequently. Supervisor assistance with restraint was needed. Introduced catch pole for safety. When she was finally muzzled, she began to thrash and roll on the floor. She urinated and defecated all over the floor while she was muzzled. I restrained her lower end while a third technician performed the intake exam.

8/8/25 During AM feeding and cleaning Lilly was at the front of the kennel, whale eyes, neutral body and wagging tail. As I approached her I baby talked her and she sniffed my fingers and wagged her tail. I decided to leash and walk her around the court yard. Held a semi-tight leash, tensed body, bent ears and whale eyes.

8/8/25 Animal started thrashing and alligator rolling during intake unable to work up

8/9/25 Dog was placed in my row and noticed the very hard stare she gave me. She was stiff as a board and her eyes going more whaled facing the kennel door.

8/10/25 Walks on a forward leash, tail up, alert posture. Followed me to the run, was sniffing around outside, running around. When coming to get her she was scratching on the door frame. Went in on a forward leash and had to walk into the kennel to get her inside.

8/12/25 Approaching kennel, Lilly had neutral body language. I opened the kennel and presented my leash and she slightly cowed, but was still able to place the leash around her. She walked out the kennel on her own and slightly pulled on leash towards the handle and created distance then showed the loose body language wagging her tail. I then placed her in a run outside.

8/13/25 Approaching kennel dog was forward barking, wiggly body. Placed the leash, she walked out with a wagging tail, followed me outside, placed in run area, she was stomping and pacing.

8/19/25 Barking in the kennel when shots and cleaning going. She takes treats so I leash her up to go outside but she lunging and barking to the dogs so I just wait for Lilly do the potty in the grass and put her in the nursery kennel while we clean her kennel.

🚑 Medical Notes:
Dog is very tense when approached, flattens ears and moves away from me when trying to administer vaccine. I received assistance with administering DA2PP booster from the technician caring for this suite today.
