🔹 Intake

📝 Shelter Notes:

11/4/2025- Moved to the south side afternoon. Missy appears to be stressed barking in a high pitch, panting heavily, and holding her ears back. She also seems to be arousing the other dogs in the room.

11/5/2025- Occasionally starts to bark behind cover. This morning, Missy was standing at the front of the kennel with a loose body, wagging tail, and soft, smiling mouth.

11/6/2025- Nonstop vocalizing in kennel as well as in the run outside. Even after dog went out and came back in continued to be vocal causing other dogs to stress out. On the leash walked on a semi tight leash. Unable to distract with treats. Kennel is covered and dog #11 remains stressed in kennel being vocal.

11/7/2025- Missy was very vocal while taking other dogs outside. Once I took her to the outside run, she walked on a semi tight leash and became vocal towards neighboring dogs.

11/8/2025- Missy was forward pulling on her leash to and from the outside kennels, vocal towards other dogs either passing her by in her own run or in the outside runs in the morning. She does not care for treats but does like attention from any ACT near her.

11/9/2025- Approaching the kennel, Missy was standing by the run gate with soft eyes, neutral body, ears up, and open mouth smile. Missy was walked on a loose leash and was quiet during her walk to the outside runs. When placed in the outside runs, she was vocal towards other dogs either passing her by in her run or in the outside runs in the morning. She does not care for treats for attention. When offered treats, she wanted attention and would get her to stop and tried to jump on me. When this happened, I used treats as a way for her to walk normally by holding the treats in my hand and hovering it over her head while occasionally dropping some on the ground, which she would eat and her walking was better.

🚑 Medical Notes:

11/3/25 ? Weight 47.0 lbs (normal).
11/7/25 ? Stool with frank blood; fecal test negative for parasites; assessed as GI/Stress-related. Treated with Panacur, Metronidazole, and probiotics.
