🔹Intake
Per 7 dogs run loose in the area and it includes 2 large Rotts.

📝 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:

10/19/25 Balto was brought over in the AM as a move adopt. I was able to easily leash him up and he walked out on a loose leash. Throughout the PM several different customers showed interest in him. He maintained being relaxed and loose on the leash. Quiet in kennel throughout the day.

10/22/25 This morning during the morning feeding, I approached Balto?s kennel to place his food in the food bowl but once I opened the kennel door, he bolted out of the kennel. I had to get a leash to walk him back to his kennel. When I started cleaning, Balto started pawing on the doggie door. After cleaning the outside kennel, I went inside to walk Balto to the dog run. Walked Balto to the dog run, he maintained a neutral body and dilated eyes, after leaving him in the dog run, he started to get vocal. Went to get Balto after a few minutes of being outside, I walk him to his outside kennel so I can clean the kennel from the inside and again while cleaning, he started pawing (scratching) on the doggie door.

10/23/25 During AM feeding, Balto tried bolting from his kennel, going straight to the door then I leashed him and he didn?t reenter his kennel until I went in first and tossed treats. He walked semi-loosely with a neutral body.

10/24/25 Tossed treats and he ignored the mixed treats, tried to escape out the kennel, leashed him and he walked on a semi-loose leash, still didn?t take treats during walk.

10/25/25 Very easy leash him up, walks with loose leash, wagging tail with the baby talk, takes treats from my hand. He potty in the outside runs. He has been relax in his kennel. He was very popular today.

10/27/25 During AM feeding, Balto bolted out of kennel as soon as I opened door to feed. I carried him back into his kennel. During AM walk he was whining in kennel pacing and pacing back and forth in kennel, easily leashed, walked on a semi-loose leash sniffing and eating a few treats I tossed down during our walk.

When walking him past another dog in their kennel, he vocalized, lunged and showed teeth, I had to tug him back inside
his kennel, not treat responsive. He was vocal as other dogs around him became vocal when other dogs or customers passed. Passing kennel, he was laying on his cot and licking his enrichment.
when attempting to feed this morning he attempted to push by my legs was able to stop him. at front of kennel waiting to be leashed. Open kennel and stepped in. Made him sit before leashing and exiting kennel. Walked on a loose leash to and from run
during pm feeding he sat and waited at front of kennel while i stepped in to grab enriochment and feed him. offered pets which he leaned into pets
