Tyson ACCT-A-251398 is currently considered urgent and at risk of euthanasia due to medical concerns. Tyson must have confirmed placement with a RESCUE PARTNER by SATURDAY, MAY 30TH at 10AM. Should Tyson's medical or behavioral status change, his urgency and timeline for placement may also change.
Tyson arrived as a stray on May 28th and made an immediate impression on staff. While waiting to be intaked, he was spotted in the hallway showing loose, relaxed body language, soft eyes, and a steady wag ' even throwing in some happy tippy tappies for good measure. He pulls a bit on leash and enjoys taking in all the smells. He also pulled hard when meeting another dog, but disengaged on his own and went back to sniffing around.
Tyson's primary medical concern is a ruptured mass on his left shoulder that is producing foul-smelling discharge and requires follow-up veterinary care. He has been started on antibiotics and pain medication. He would also benefit from losing some weight. Tyson is a big, gentle senior dog who deserves a rescue ready to give him the care ' and the couch ' he's earned. Due to his medical concerns, Tyson is urgently seeking placement with a rescue partner.
