About benjilector: Intake Info: Benjilector (A2334832) was found at a dog park where he had reportedly been left alone for several hours. Bystanders reported they had not seen an owner return for him. A microchip was found, but no owner has come forward.
Medical:Benjilector appears to be approximately 7 years old and is heartworm negative. He is overweight and has mild to moderate dental tartar. He is bright, alert, and responsive with no significant heart or lung abnormalities noted. A golf ball-sized, firm subcutaneous mass is present on the right front limb near the carpus. The mass is attached and may require further evaluation. At this time, no obvious lameness is associated with the mass. HS-4. No palpable testicles were identified, suggesting a previous neuter.
Request to Rescues: Benjilector is a handsome senior boy in need of rescue due to the mass on his right front limb. An FNA is pending, but he may require more advanced diagnostics and treatment, including biopsy, surgical removal with appropriate margins, chest radiographs for staging, and additional specialty care depending on results.
