If you're interested in helping us meet the animals, please message us! 🔹 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲: 6/10/2026: Two dogs were reportedly left at a business. Valerie is the small black dog that was found abandoned at Fondern five star pet resort 📝 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀: 6/16/2026: Valerie participated in a Move Adopt event. Initially avoided staff at the kennel door and retreated to the back of her run. With patience and encouragement, she approached, allowed leashing, and walked to a new kennel on a loose leash. Later she approached staff in the run, licked a hand, and sought attention before being placed in a covered kennel. 6/15/2026: Valerie was observed lying quietly on her blanket in her kennel. She allowed leashing and walked outside with a tucked tail. 6/14/2026: Approached staff at the front of her kennel. Walked outside with a tucked tail but remained calm. While staff cleaned her kennel, she stood quietly nearby. Upon returning to her kennel, she wagged her tail and continued greeting staff as they passed. 6/12/2026: Valerie was lying quietly in her kennel when approached. She stood up, allowed leashing, exited the kennel, walked on a loose leash, and was placed in the run without issue. 6/11/2026: Greeted staff with a timid posture. Allowed leashing and walked behind staff to and from the potty yard. Loud noises caused her to startle and jump. She was frequently observed resting on her blanket in her kennel. 🚑 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀: 6/10/2026: Intake exam noted fearful behavior including timidity, alligator rolling while being handled, urinating/defecating from fear, and an attempt to bite during intake. Vaccinated (Rabies, DA2PP-V, Bordetella), dewormed, flea prevention given, and heartworm test low positive.
