💜 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀: We were not able to meet Girly.
📝 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀: 6/23: Athena presented with a loose body, wagging tail, and soft panting. Staff noted she had been alarm barking throughout the day but remained social. She tends to pull her kennel cover into her room. 6/22: Greeted staff with a soft face and was easily leashed. Walked loosely and remained quiet throughout the day. Enjoyed petting and interaction. 6/20: Met handlers at the kennel door with a loose body, erect ears, and soft expression. Walked nicely on a loose leash and occasionally vocalized during the day. 6/19: Initially vocal during cleaning but quickly settled. Greeted staff with a relaxed body, soft smile, and slow wagging tail. Walked politely beside handlers and occasionally licked hands or nudged for attention. 6/18: Relaxed and friendly at her kennel door. Walked on a loose leash and enjoyed exploring outside. Returned calmly to her kennel and showed no issues passing other dogs. 6/17: Quiet morning greeting with a loose body, wagging tail, and erect ears. 6/16: Energetic during walks and enjoyed running in the outside runs. Played with neighboring dogs through the fence and displayed playful play bows. 6/15: Described as having a wiggly body, happy tail, and eager attitude for walks. Vocal in her kennel but social and friendly when interacting. 6/14: Vocalized and alarm barked throughout the morning. Despite this, she greeted staff with a neutral body and slight smile and walked well on leash.
🚑 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀: ' Approximately 47 pounds ' Diagnosed with upper respiratory infection (URI/CIRD) on 6/21 ' Coughing with green nasal discharge at exam ' Prescribed Doxycycline 200 mg daily for 10 days on 6/21 ' Heartworm low positive ' Vaccinated, dewormed, and flea treated

💜 Athena is a beautiful young husky who continues to greet people with wagging tails, soft expressions, and a desire for companionship. While she can be vocal in her kennel, her behavior notes repeatedly show a friendly dog who enjoys walks, affection, and spending time with people. She urgently needs a foster, adopter, or rescue partner to save her life.
