💙 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:
This boy is just scared. Peluchin came into the shelter as a owner surrender at 10 years old. The shelter environment is so loud and for a senior that is used to a different life, I don't blame him for being scared. He's a beautiful dog but so nervous that he doesn't want to walk much on a leash. I decided to meet him right in his kennel. He scared and gives a few growly sounds, but he comes out for affection. His videos are pretty heartbreaking because you see how much he wants love and affection. Watch his videos throughout the comments.
7/7/26: Peluchin appeared tense in his kennel as the volunteer approached. He allowed himself to be leashed but was initially hesitant to walk, moving slowly with a lowered head. While being taken toward the outdoor runs, he began low growling at neighboring dogs and continued to growl when another volunteer passed by with a dog. Rather than increasing his stress, the volunteer chose to continue walking him instead of placing him in the run.
7/6/26: During intake, Peluchin was described as relaxed.

💙 Peluchin is a senior dog who has only been at the shelter for a day and is already facing euthanasia. His intake notes describe him as relaxed, but after just one day in the shelter he is showing understandable signs of stress and uncertainty. Despite his hesitation, he allowed himself to be leashed and handled without incident. The overwhelming shelter environment appears to be affecting him, and he urgently needs a quiet place where he can decompress and feel safe again. A calm foster or adopter could make all the difference for this deserving senior.
