💙 Volunteer Notes:
Marvin is such a petite little German Shepherd. Like a pocket sized boy. He's only 8 months old, 31 lbs and HW-! He has cute point ears that he hasn't grown into quite yet. I can lift him under one arm (see video) and he doesn't mind at all (continues to wag his tail happily). He's a little nervous of walking over the doorways on the leash but otherwise he's super great! He's a little bit scared but friendly and eager to please! Watch his videos throughout the comments

📝 Shelter Notes:
7/14/26: Marbin continued to display behavior similar to the previous day. He greeted staff with a wiggly body, was excited and very treat motivated, knew \"sit,\" and was easy to leash. While nervous with a low posture and tucked ears during walks, he waited patiently while his kennel was cleaned.
7/13/26: Marbin greeted staff with a wiggly body, soft face, and low wagging tail. He circled to the back of his kennel and cowered while being leashed. He froze and pancaked when asked to walk through doorways and had to be carried outside. Once outdoors, he relaxed, accepted treats, and walked well on a loose leash.
7/12/26: Very vocal in his kennel and barked at other dogs passing by. He refused to walk, repeatedly cowering and pancaking, requiring staff to tether him to the wall.
7/11/26: Approached with a semi-tense body and cowering posture but walked well on a loose leash and remained quiet in his kennel.
7/9/26: Initially stopped walking and had to be tethered to the wall. Once returned to his kennel, he began whining and high-pitched barking.
7/8/26: Covered due to vocalizing, high-pitched barking, and jumping at the front of his kennel.
7/4/26: Typical puppy behavior with a wiggly body, fast wagging tail, and perky ears. Loves treats, pets, and baby talk. Although he pancaked and had to be carried to and from the runs, he remained sweet and affectionate.
7/3/26: Displayed a loose, wiggly body. Once leashed, he laid down and had to be carried outside.

💙 Marbin is a sweet puppy whose fear of the shelter causes him to freeze, but once outside he relaxes into the happy, affectionate youngster he's meant to be. He loves treats, knows \"sit,\" enjoys people, and just needs a patient family to help build his confidence.

- Healthy 8-month-old puppy.
- Heartworm test negative.
- No medical concerns noted.
- Weighs 31.0 lbs.
