💙 Volunteer Notes:
Camilo isn't feeling great. He has a doggy cold and that means he is in the URI section at the shelter. They euthanize dogs for space quickly when they have a cold. He's a sweet, gentle guy that could really use a second chance. He has some matted fur but with a little TLC and a quiet place to crash he would be on the mend. Watch his videos throughout the comments.

📝 Shelter Notes:
7/13/26: Camilo was resting comfortably on his bedding and slowly got up to greet the volunteer. He was easy to leash, walked well on a loose leash, and remained quiet and relaxed in his kennel throughout the day.
7/6/26: Although he wasn't interested in treats, Camilo was very easy to leash and walked beside the volunteer on a loose leash with gentle encouragement and a wagging tail.
7/5/26: Intake notes describe Camilo as nervous during intake and requiring a light muzzle for handling.

💙 Despite being a senior with mobility challenges, Camilo is a gentle, calm, and cooperative boy. He enjoys quiet companionship, walks politely on leash, and greets people with a soft wagging tail. This sweet senior deserves a comfortable home where he can spend his golden years surrounded by love.

🚑 Medical Notes:
- Diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection (CIRD/URI) after developing green nasal discharge. Started on a 10-day course of doxycycline and moved to the treatment room.
- Senior dog with muscle atrophy in both hind limbs, rear leg weakness and incoordination, narrowed stance, short stride, and decreased hip range of motion.
- Veterinary staff suspect bilateral hip osteoarthritis and recommend long-term pain management and joint supplementation (such as Adequan or oral joint medications).
- Heartworm positive (low positive test).
- Severe dental wear consistent with advanced age.
- Weighs 47.4 lbs.
