💜 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:
Walter has to be part Pointer! First of all he looks a lot like a Pointer and acts like one too! This boy is so happy and friendly. He just soaks up attention. He was zooming around like he'd never had anyone to play with. This boy has been at the shelter a while now. He has great shelter notes - low wagging tail, soft smiling mouth, wiggly, paid little attention to other dogs, and happily settled with a pig ear once back in his kennel. Hes so cute! 📝 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:
7/22/2026: Walter presented with a neutral body, low wagging tail, and soft smiling mouth. Walked on a loose leash heading in and out of the south runs.
7/21/2026: During morning feedings, Walter was yelping and jumping on the kennel walls and gate. He greeted me with a wiggling body, dilated eyes, ears up, fast wagging tail, and an open-mouth smile. He walked well on a loose leash, paid little attention to other dogs, and happily settled with a pig ear once back in his kennel.
7/20/2026: Walter greeted me with a wiggling body, dilated eyes, ears up, fast wagging tail, and an open-mouth smile. He walked on a semi-loose leash with slight forward pulling and paid little attention to other dogs. While in the run, he whined whenever staff walked away until they returned.
7/19/2026: Walter greeted me with a wiggling body, dilated eyes, ears up, fast wagging tail, and open-mouth smile. He walked on a semi-loose leash with slight forward pulling and remained social and energetic.
7/16/2026: Walter was calm and quiet during morning feeding and cleaning. He greeted me with a neutral body, low slow wagging tail, and soft mouth. Once leashed, he walked on a semi-forward leash while heading in and out of the south runs.
7/15/2026: Walter presented with a wiggly body, fast wagging tail, panting, and jumping on kennel walls. He greeted me sitting at the kennel door and remained there until leashed. Outside he walked on a loose leash but occasionally looked up at me, then in the outdoor run walked away to potty. Afterwards he relaxed by his kennel door with a soft wagging tail.
7/14/2026: Walter greeted me at his kennel door with a wiggly body, fast wagging tail, and vocalized because he was excited to go outside. Easy to leash with treats and walked without pulling.
7/13/2026: Walter tried to squeeze his head through the kennel gate while whining and crying. Later he jumped on the kennel walls to watch people walking by and continued whining when they left. Made into Adopt Evaluation.
7/9/2026: Walter greeted me at the front of his kennel with a wagging tail, loose body, and soft face. He walked out on a semi-loose leash with a relaxed body.
🚑 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:
7/20/2026: Weighed 36.2 lbs. Heartworm Positive (Low).
7/7/2026: Weighed 36.2 lbs. Heartworm Positive (Low). Vaccinated (Bordetella, Rabies, DA2PP-V), dewormed, and given Pyrantel and Advantage Multi.
7/6/2026: Weighed 38.2 lbs. Normal intake exam. Received DA2PP-V vaccine.
