💙 𝗩𝗼𝗹𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:
Diesel wasn't in his kennel when I went up to meet him, so I went looking for him and found him outside in the runs with a staff member. She told me that she wanted to get him outside to play a bit because he is her favorite. Diesel is a beautiful, two year-old husky boy that is heartworm negative. Right now he's stuck in a very small evaluation kennel and this boy has a good amount of energy. He was running along the fence line with another dog. The staff member told me that he really likes toys and I happen to have a tennis ball. She was 100% right. He absolutely loves playing toys and is great at playing fetch. - Owner-requested euthanasia intake.

📝 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗹𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗲𝘀:
7/15/26:
- Easy to leash with a wagging tail. Walked on a loose leash but occasionally froze and pancaked to the ground. Responded well to gentle encouragement and continued walking back to his kennel.
7/19/26:
- Approached with a wagging tail and relaxed body. Initially tolerated handling but gave a low growl and snapped when staff attempted to remove his blanket. Backed away after the interaction.
7/20/26 & 7/23/26:
- Friendly and standing at the front of the kennel with an open mouth and wagging tail. Walked well on a loose leash. Enjoyed running in the outdoor runs. Initially hesitant to return to his kennel.
7/24/26:
- Loose, friendly body language. Walked well on a loose leash and remained neutral in the runs.
7/26/26:
- Walked well on leash but repeatedly jumped on staff while going to and from the runs.
7/27/26:
- Very excited leaving the kennel. Jumped up repeatedly and sought attention. Loved running in the yard and rubbing against staff for affection.
7/28/26:
- Very friendly and affectionate. Rubbed against the kennel door and licked staff's hands. Easy to leash but became playful and mouthy when unleashing, gently grazing teeth on staff's arm without causing injury. Very energetic outside, enjoyed chasing tennis balls, accepted petting, and walked well overall.

- Heartworm Negative.
- Body weight: 50.0 lbs.
- Received routine intake vaccines and deworming.
- No additional medical concerns noted on intake.
