George is at risk due to behavioral reasons. George has a bite history from his previous home. His previous owner was cleaning his ear when he escalated to biting them on the arm. This bite did break skin, and the owner went to the hospital for medical treatment. While in care, George has been observed to have a low threshold for arousal. Noted to jump up towards the leash during his assessment and recently snapped at a handler's face when being removed from kennel. While out with handler's he walks with mild leash pressure and has a soft body and wagging tail. Medically, George was treated for ear infection and currently on treatment for CIRDC.
George arrived at MACC following a bite incident. George's owner was attempting to clean his ear when he escalated to biting them on the arm. This bite did break skin and the owner went to the hospital for medical treatment. While in care, George has been observed to have a low threshold for arousal. Noted to jump up towards the leash during the jog portion of the assessment. He has also been reported to balk while on leash. Due to the detailed behavior, we recommend an experienced adult only home.
