Denver is a frightened young dog who is struggling with the overwhelming shelter environment. She often greets people with a tense body, tucked tail, whale eyes, and pinned-back ears, and loud barking from nearby dogs causes her anxiety to increase.
Despite her fear, Denver shows encouraging signs that she wants to trust. With patience, she allows herself to be leashed, comes when called, enjoys quietly exploring the play yard, and has begun wagging her tail and accepting gentle head pets. Once away from the chaos, her curiosity starts to shine through.
