Dodger is on the at-risk list for medical concerns. Dodger has complicated medical conditions and given our limited ability to treat appropriately in the shelter we haven't seen improvement. During his stay, Dodger has consistently had severe diarrhea and recently noted vomiting. He has a very low/absent appetite and has lost weight while in care. He has also recently developed mild CIRDC signs. Diagnostics have not reveal an underlying causes. Dodger will not take oral medications and he has medical handling sensitivities which make it difficult to treat him. Behaviorally, Dodger has allowed limited handling. He has been obsvered to growl and lip lick when handlers approach. Also noted to dodge the leash while in kennel and escalate to growling, snapping, and biting the leash. Dodger would benefit from a low stress environment for further diagnostics.

Dodger arrived at MACC as an owner surrender. While in care Dodger has allowed limited handling and has been observed to escalte to growling and snapping when handlers interact. Recenting Dodger has been noted to dodge the leash and will esclate to growling and biting the leash. Due to the detailed behavior we recommend an experienced adult only home.
