Peeber Jelly is at risk due to behavioral reasons. While in care, he has been observed to be fearful and will quickly escalate to defensive behaviors. In one instance when a handler attempted to clip a dragline to his collar, Peeber became tense before lunging and attempting to bite the handler. He has also been observed to escalate to hard barking and lunging while in kennel. With a slow approach, Peeber is receptive to street walks and is not noted to be reactive while on leash. Medically, Peeber has mild to moderate dental diease.

Peeber Jelly arrived at MACC as a stray with no known history. While in care, Peeber has been observed to be highly fearful. Noted to growl at handlers during intake and escalated to hard barking and lunging when handlers approached him in kennel for a medical exam. During his assessment, Peeber was observed to become tense and then quickly escalated to lunging and attempting to bite the handler. Due to the detailed behavior we recommend an experienced adult only home.
