Riley is at risk due to behavior concerns in care. Riley is reported to be reactive to dogs, noted to pull hard while exiting a room, and attempting to kennel fight. He is not able to be redirected easily. Staff reports kennel stress-related behaviors such as jumping up in the corners of his kennel and hard barking. Medically, Riley has some lameness in his right hind leg, and he is underweight.
Meet Riley! He's an active pup who loves to play, jump, and splash around in the water. He knows "sit," "wait," and "eat," and he's crate trained, happily settling in an XL pop-up crate for up to seven hours. He also allows handling for baths, brushing, and having his paws touched, and he doesn't mind being held or restrained.
He's still working on some manners and will need a family who is ready to help him learn. He pulls hard on leash and can lunge and bark at strangers, birds, small animals, and other moving objects. He is comfortable using weewee pads indoors and also goes to the bathroom outside.
This guy is looking for an active, patient family who can give him plenty of exercise, structure, and positive training. In return, you'll have a fun-loving companion who is eager to play, explore, and keep learning!
