💔 ABANDONED WITH HIS DOG FAMILY
Mack/Mick came into BARC with three other dogs after their owner abandoned all four of them.
Two of his companions are still at BARC, although they are not on the euthanasia list yet:

Mack/Mick will need heartworm treatment, but heartworms are treatable and he deserves the chance to get healthy and start over.

🐾BEHAVIOR NOTES:
There is a sweet, social side to Mack/Mick that shelter notes have repeatedly documented.
On intake, he greeted staff with a soft face, wagging tail and loose body. He was easily leashed, followed his handler outside and walked on a loose leash. Other notes describe him waiting at his kennel with a 'happy tail' and 'open mouth smile.' He can be a little shy, likes treats and has been relaxed while spending time outside.
As his shelter stay progressed, Mack/Mick has become increasingly vocal. When another dog passed he barked toward a neighboring dog through a divider.
